Hartmut Abendschein: TetrisYoga™
Hartmut Abendschein is a writer and publisher based in Bern (Switzerland). His edition taberna kritika focusses on experimental, conceptual and visual literature. This is also where his artistic practice as an author is based. TetrisYoga™ has just been published by Timglaset Editions, following asemic walks, a couple of years ago. Besides being curation tools in the form of visual poetry, these are examples of conceptual, interdisciplinary approaches to combining materials and ideas that can be starting points for further explorative writing as well as audio text production.
TetrisYoga™ is a visual poetry card set. It also helps you to easily put together individual yoga sessions, constellate audio works (e.g. with samplers or soundboards) in a controlled manner or organise texts or text objects according to nameable patterns. The aleatoric use of TetrisYoga™ is conceivable wherever abstract grids are experimented with. It contains:
1 Title card,
31 TetrisYoga™ poses cards,
1 Empty grid card (for own ideas),
2 Elements / functions cards 1 Imprint card.
The Weave Reader is a card game for one or more players. It is a life-guidance game, no more mystical, and no less so, than life itself. The game is a tool to trace and interpret events, feelings, changes, and the different paths you have taken, are now on, or that you might take. As you draw cards, an image of a circle emerges, and a text is spelled out. The cards are then read and interpreted in relation to your life: past, present, or future. There is no winning or losing in this game; the objective is to read and interpret the varied and connected threads of the weave of life.

Rojal is a publishing project, started in 2014 by Olle Essvik, and Joel Nordqvist – for experiments, collaborations, discoveries and distribution of narratives, ideas, objects and images. Based in a workshop in Gothenburg, Sweden, we produce and publish artists’ books in handcrafted editions.
Kurt Johannessen (b.1960) published his first artist’s book in 1984. In 1999 he founded his own publishing house, Zeth Forlag, which publishes all the books. Many of his books are text-related, but some are based on drawings or photographs. The text works are often stories in a few sentences. They are visual, poetic and sometimes humorous. He has so far produced 139 books. In 2013, he started the book series Om-noko. There are 20 books in the series and many of them were the basis for various performance lectures. These books lie at the intersection between philosophy/visual arts/poetry/science. Later, he has created a picture book series that lean more towards the poetic. In 2024, he has produced 7 new books.
Tim Shore is an artist interested in the marginal, ephemeral and overlooked. And how luck, chance and anxiety can be embodied in small things, such as books and other poetic objects. Tim does a daily walk around the city of Derby in the East Midlands (UK), where he lives. While walking he makes an effort to notice the small and mundane elements of both the human and natural world, which are prevalent and encountered everywhere, if you remember to look and listen.
